Booking process
You will be able to make the booking of the vessels and activities through different methods:
-Through the webpage: you can access to the complete data sheep of the boats that we have on offer from the Home page, or you can access to it from the different localities in which you can make the booking. Access to “Localities” section to know the different localities where we have available boats.
Once you are in the desired locality, press the button “see details” of the boat that you whant to rent. This will take you to the web page of the boat, where their price, rental conditions and specifications will be displayed.
Once it is clear which vessel would you like to rent, you will be able to book it through the booking button. You will have to fill a form with your personal information, and afterwards, make a booking confirmation, in which the payment will be done.
You can also make your reservation by telephone, calling to the phone number (+34) 673 78 89 43.
Besides, you can request your booking via WhatsApp to the same phone numbers showed before.
Finally, you can also send an email with your doubts or with you booking request to the email info@barcoenalquiler.es.
When you make the booking, you will fill a form in which you will have to provide the following data:
Personal data: you must provide your name, a contact telephone number, an email to which you can send a quote. These details will be recorded on the website and a confirmation of booking and payment will be made at a later date. Once the reservation has been confirmed, we or the owner will ask you for the necessary information to make the rental contract.
Date of rental: you must tell us the date when the rental starts and the duration of the rental.
Number of passengers: you must also indicate the number of passengers on board the vessel. We remind you that the maximum number of passengers that can transport these pleasure craft is 12 people (including skipper).
If you want to make a reservation without a skipper, you must also prove that you have the navigation license required for this purpose. Rentals without skipper can only be made in those cases where a sailing licence suitable for the type of boat selected is available.
You will only have to fill the booking form, and after that, you will receive a confirmation in you email, in which it will be indicated if the boat is available or not. From this moment you will be able to make rental payment.

The price includes all the mentioned extras in the web page, besides the towels and linen.
The prices doesn’t include:
– The fuel consumption expenses during the boat rental. The boat will be delivered with its tank full of fuel, and it will must be given back with the same amount of fuel. The price of the fuel consumed will should be paid by the client after the boat rental.
The fuel consumption will depend on the type of vessel and the kind of motor that it is equipped with.
- If you hire a sailboat to sail the consumption will be minimal. If you steel a sailing boat using its motor, with a motorization between 30 and 40 HP, the consumption could be around 10 litres per hour.
- If you hire a motorboat with two motors of 200 HP each one, the fuel consumption could reach about 45 litres per hour.
Through a simple rule of three you can obtain the forecast of the approximated fuel consumption. You must consider that this is just an estimation and that the consumption will differ according to different factors.
-The cost of the boat’s skipper is independent of the price (75€ for a half day – 150€ for a full day). This extra expense will be applied in the price before making the booking.
-The expenditures linked to the consumption of extra water, as well as the food and drinks will also have to be paid by the client. If you want to add a menu or drinks to your booking, let us know in the moment of making the booking to add this extra cost to the rental price.
-Finally, an extra cost for the cleaning expenses could be applied when the rental is finished. These expenses will be of 35 € if the rental duration is less than one day, and 75 € if the rental duration is more than one day.
The boat will be reserved for your name for the selected date from the same moment in which you have done the payment of the 20% of the boat rental in concept of booking.
Once the client has done the payment of the reservation, BarcoEnAlquiler’s team will send you an email with all of the owner’s data so you can contact him/her.

Yes, the booking can be cancelled.
In the case that the renter wanted to cancel his booking, the client will have to inform the team of BarcoEnAlquiler with a minimum anticipation of 30 days before the rental start date. In these cases, the client will receive a full refund of the amount paid by the client.
If the renter cancel his booking with less than 30 days anticipation before the rental start date, the applicable costs for the booking cancellation will be of a 20% of the rental total price.
If the lessor cancel the booking, or it is not possible to go sailing due to major causes, or reasons outside the renter’s control (unfavourable weather, breakdown, or any other cause), we will look for an agreement with the client to change the rental date or to change the boat, selecting another boat with similar or superior features. In these cases, is usual to find a satisfactory solution for both parties, but, if it is not possible, a full refund of the booking total price will be done.
The owner could cancel the booking in very exceptional cases and under very specific conditions. In these cases, the client will be offered an alternative day for the rental, or any other watercraft with similar or superior features.
If any of that weren’t possible, or if the client didn’t accept the change, the 100% of the amount paid for the booking would be given back to the client.
If you need a boat rental invoice you will only have to request it to the owner of the boat, and he will give it to you without any problem.
As we have mentioned before, once you have done the payment of the booking, you will receive an email with all the owner’s information, so you can make contact with him.
You can add any other extra that you would like to include in your rental. Menus and drinks, transfers by car, private waiter, photobook, water sports equipment, fishing rod, etc. You only have to make contact with us in some advance and request what you need for your booking.
You will receive an answer by email or WhatsApp telling you if it is possible to add such extras and a budget with the final price for the selected service.

The time and the day of the boarding, as well as the duration of the rental and the base port, will be agreed in the moment of making the reservation.
Yes, every boat rental includes in its price the mooring in the selected port.
When the boat is delivered to the client, we make a check-in in which we prove that boat has, indeed, all the equipment and extras, as well as its well functioning and condition.
When the client gives back the boat, we make the check-out. The person in charge of the boat will check the general condition of the vessel, besides the points revised in the check-in, so everything is in the same condition.
If there were some damage in the vessel, its equipment or if any other element listed in the check-in failed, the owner of the boat could use part of the deposit or bond to bear the caused costs.
The boat’s keys handover will take place in the location and time agreed with the owner. You will be able to agree all these issues after have done the booking and after have received all the lessor’s contact information. The keys handover will take place in the same moment of the check-in.
The contract can be elaborated by the owner of the boat or by the rental firm. Usually, the contract is signed in the same moment of the check-in, but, furthermore, you will be able to request the contract after have done the booking and the payment confirmation.
Yes, you can sail without any license, but in these cases the hiring of a skipper will be obligatory.
You can rent a boat without skipper, but this will depend on your own experience and sailing skills. For some vessels, a navigation license is required, and it can differ according to the type of watercraft that you would like to rent.

Only in the countries of France and Ireland no license is required for renting a boat or catamaran.
You must consider that for any rental without skipper of vessels with more than 6 HP, a license that guarantees that you know how to steer this kind of boats will be required.
Is not necessary to sleep in the port, since you can sleep outside the boat, or you can sleep inside it while you are anchoring. However, if you still want to sleep in the port, you won’t have to pay the mooring if the port is the same that the base port. If you want to stay overnight in a different port from the base port, the client must pay the price of the mooring in this port.
You can anchor in any of the maritime area that are safe and legal to these kind of practises, which encompass a large proportion of Malaga’s coast. If you don’t have a license, is enough to indicate to the skipper the point in which you would like to anchor, and he will tell you if it is possible or not according to the weather and the characteristic of the selected place.
Sleeping in the boat, while you are anchoring, will be possible or not depending on the rental conditions, which will be established in the leasing contract with the ship’s owner.

Puedes fondear en cualquiera de las zonas marítimas que sean seguras y legales para ello, lo que abarca gran parte de la costa de Málaga. Si no tenemos el título, basta con indicarle al patrón el punto donde deseamos fondear y él nos dirá si es posible o no según la meteorología y las características del lugar escogido.

You must keep in mind that the price will differ from the low season to the high season, since in this last one, the demand for the boat rental is higher and the price will be higher too.
There isn’t any minimum or maximum of days for the rental. For rentals of more than 7 days, or for groups of more than 12 people, please, make contact with us and we will send you a budget that will fit your booking necessities.
Yes, the weekend or two-day rental includes one overnight stay on the boat.
If you rent a two-day charter or weekend, once your sailing day is over, you will return to port, and you can spend a night on the boat. The next day you will have another rental day, but after this sailing day, you will make the check out, without spending a second night on the boat.
The check-out usually takes place at 18:00. However, there may be flexibility in schedules. If you want to check out after 18:00 you can contact us and we will look for an alternative that can satisfy both parties.
Therefore, the two-day or weekend rentals also include just one overnight stay on the boat.

Payment
The payment will be done in two parts. The first payment done will be a 20% on the full price, as a reservation concept. The left 80% of the payment will be paid in cash in the same moment of the rental start.
The first part of the payment can be made by bank card, via PayPal or through a bank transfer.
You will be also able to pay the full price of the booking via online or by bank transfer, if you don’t want to make the payment in cash.
No, none commission will be applied to the client after have done the boat’s booking, not management cost, nor lease expenses
One of the applicable extra costs after have done the booking is the fuel consumption during the rental. The boat will be handed over with its fuel tank filled, and it will be must to be given back with the same amount of fuel. The price of the fuel consumption will have to be paid by the client after the boat rental.
Only for charters without skipper, it will be needed the payment of a deposit or bond, whose quantity will depend on the type of vessel selected.
Finally, the expenses for the final cleaning of the boat, will be able to be applied as an extra cost after the boat rental. The price for the final cleaning is 35€, for day rentals, and 75€ for rentals of more than 1 day.
Of course, both the online payment by bank card as the payment by PayPal are totally secure. All our payment methods has their own security protocols and they are fully encrypted.
The deposit or bond is just necessary for the rentals without skipper. It purpose is to make sure that the boat will be returned back in the same conditions in which it was delivered to the lessee. The quantity of the deposit will vary depending on the type of the boat selected for the rental.
Both the extras, as the deposit or bond and the left percentage of the booking payment will be done, in cash, in the same moment of the rental start.
Hiring of a skipper
Our skippers are sailor with years of experience in the sea and with all kind of vessels. Besides steering the boat, they have knowledge about the area, so they will be able to advise you the best routes and areas for the anchoring in the coast of Malaga.
The legislation in every country, oblige you to have a license to steer a vessel. If you don’t have such license according to the spanish legislation, the hiring of a skipper will be required to steer the boat.
In the spanish case, there are different licenses:
- Basic navigation license: this license allows the use of C class jet skies, and watercrafts up to a maximum of 6 metres in length, for the sailing during the daytime period and a maximum distance of 2 miles away from the coast.
- PNB (Skipper for basic navigation): This license allows the steering of motorboats and sailing boats up to a maximum of 8 metres in length, for the sailing up to 5 miles away from the coast, during daytime and nighttime periods. This license allows the use of any jet ski too.
- PER (skipper of recreational crafts): This license allows the steering of watercrafts up to 12 metres of length, for the navigation up to 12 miles away from the coast and the inter-island navigation in the archipelagos of Balearic islands and Canary islands.
- Patrón de Yate (Yacht skipper): this license allows the steering of watercrafts up to 20 metres of length, for the navigation , para embarcaciones de hasta 20 mts y una distancia de 60 millas.
- Capitán de Yate (Yacht captain): this license allows the steering of boats of any length and to any distance away from the coast, whenever that the vessel were a recreational craft.
The skipper will be selected by the team of BarcoEnAlquiler.es, depending on the requested date for the charter and according the necessities of the client’s booking.
The hiring of a skipper is totally independent from the boat’s booking. The payment of the skipper’s fees will be done in cash, in the same moment of the rental start.
The price of the skipper is 75€ for a half day (4 hours), and 150€ for a full day of sailing (8 hours).
The skipper will be under the command of the client, he will steer the boat and he will bring them wherever they indicate him. However, considering other factors as the weather and the security, the skipper is who will have the last word.
The skipper is the liable of the watercraft during the rental.
However, you must remember that the skipper is working, and his work is to steer the boat, he is not a hostess nor a cook.
The hiring of a skipper also implies his maintenance. If the client go outside the boat for dinner or lunch, it is not necessary that he pays his menu, it is enough that the skipper count on food and drink inside the boat.
The skipper will must have food available for the rental duration days.
If the base port is the same that the arrival port, it is not necessary that the skipper sleeps in the boat.
If the base port is different from the arrival port, and if the rental duration is more than one day, the skipper will sleep in any of the cabins, if they are available, or in the living room if there is not any free cabin.
The skipper will also be able to sleep out of the boat, if they client want to, but in this case, the client will have to pay the expenses of the overnight stay outside the boat.
Security and incidents
In the event of any incident unrelated to the renter and before the date of the rental, the booking could be cancelled. In these cases, the client would be offered an alternative day for the rental, or any other vessel with similar or superior features.
If any of these weren’t possible, the 100% of the amount paid for the booking would be given back to the client.
In the case of making a booking without skipper and producing some damage to the watercraft, the renter would have to bear the costs of the damages up to a maximum amount similar to the quantity of the deposit or bond paid.
In the case of rentals with skipper, the only responsible person for the boat is the skipper.
If the time of bearing away comes and there is bad weather and sea conditions, and you don’t have a hired skipper, you will must consult the weather forecast with the boat’s owner and study in detail the situation, always following his recommendations.
Alternatively, if you have a hired skipper, he will decide if it is appropriated to set sail or if is better to wait some time until conditions improve.
Even if you know how to sail, going accompanied by a person that knows the area, will always contribute to your security and tranquility.
Remember that the skipper is working, and that his work is to steer the boat, he is not a hostess nor a cook.
Let the skipper advice you, he knows the weather, the area and he will tell you where you will feel more comfortable.
If the weather conditions are not appropriated, it is better to wait one more day and don’t take a chance of having a bad experience. Additionally, the skipper always have the right to decide if the boat set sailing, for the security of the watercraft and its passengers.
Bring a comfortable and breathable clothing, and even when the weather seems hotter, bring always a jacket, because in the middle of the sea at night it can be really cold.
All our vessels have their owns insurances and obligatory permissions needed for the boat rentals, so the hiring of any extra insurance won’t be required.
Yes, it is allowed. In any case, it is recommendable to have an special care if the kids are under the age of 12. You must prevent that they walk alone in the deck while you are sailing and ensure that they have a suitable footwear so they won’t slip and fall.
About the boats
Each boat has a different distribution in its cabin and the spaces as the living room or the bathrooms. Usually, the boats count on cabins with double bed, so two people will be able to sleep in each cabin, besides of also having a sofa convertible to a double bed in the living room.
Yes, almost all our boats (except for the motorboats) count on an inside shower with available warm water. However, this water must be wasted prudently, since the water tank has a limit, and if the client run out of safe water during the sailing, he will must return to port to refuel.
Usually, smoking inside the cabins and the indoors of the boat is forbidden. Smoking is allowed in any zone in the boat’s deck, but we hope that under the client’s liability, none kind of trash will be thrown at the sea, since the marine pollution is everyone’s responsibility.
Every boat has a different capacity for transporting safe water. In the case that the water tank runs out of water, you will only have to return to the port to fill up the deposit.
According to the current spanish legislation, the maximum number of passengers that can get on a recreational craft are 12 people, including the boat’s skipper.
